Collection: Shirley Weiss

I have lived all of my life in the country – most of it in northern Alberta. My goal is to try to present and preserve the beauty of nature, and it’s creatures, as realistically as I can on my canvas. I try to depict a feeling of peace and calm in my landscapes and hope to convey this to the viewers.

Although I feel I have been an artist all my life, it is only the last 10 years that I have seriously taken up painting. I have works in private and corporate collections throughout Canada, U.S.A., and abroad.  Memberships include the Federation of Canadian Artists, (including the Peace River Chapter), National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society, and Grande Prairie Guild of Artists.
