Collection: Louanne Hart

Louanne Hart was born and raised in Grande Prairie, studied Physical Therapy at U of A Edmonton, lived and travelled abroad then met and married Rick Hart in Vancouver. After
10 years enjoying coastal living, they returned to her home town in 1979 and re-established her roots. Getting involved in church community life, working as a therapist in Home Care and raising one daughter was balanced by joining the Grande Prairie Guild of Artists in 1988. In this diverse group her life long interest in art was nourished by lasting friendships, weekly group painting sessions, workshops from many professional instructors, opportunities for group exhibitions and plein air field trips. Being part of painting a local amphitheater mural Project was an exciting challenge and a highlight in her artistic endeavours. She will forever value these formative years where the communal spirit brought growth to all aspects of her life. In 2006 retirement brought a new dimension of artistic growth with winters spent in their home in Arizona. Here Louanne was exposed to a wide range of new styles and mediums such as pen and ink Zentangle, soft pastels, acrylics, palette knife work which all opened windows of great freedom and fun. Now in her late seventh decade she feels most blessed to be able to actively continue and share her life giving creative interests.
